Online Education and Mentoring

Lititz Institute (LI) offers short courses and individual and small group mentoring opportunities. LI is a for-profit corporation dedicated to teaching people how to relate to God, increase the growth and strength of their spirit, and develop a close relationship with God that intensifies over time. LI was formed as a for-profit organization in response to God’s leading. LI is operated as a not-for-profit, with proceeds reinvested in broader and deeper kingdom purposes.

Learning About the Institute

There are two free single-session meetings. The first is an introductory session, which is open to all. The format is a brief overview and is then open to questions. The second free session is for those who are uncertain of their second birth status. The changes God makes in the person’s spirit will be discussed, and questions will be answered. People often have false second births.

A second birth is a prerequisite for benefiting from taking courses. We are all steeped in developing our minds and intellectual abilities, so spiritual development is challenging to understand. It only occurs over time, unlike having an idea and changing immediately. Just as physical growth follows an ordered pattern that requires energy from the correct mixture of foods and an appropriate social environment, so does the development of our internal spirit person.

Format of the Courses

The courses vary over time, lasting six to eight weeks with weekly meetings. All meetings are recorded and posted to Vimeo. They are accessible for a limited time following the course. Depending on the questions, the instructor will be present for one to one and a half hours.

It is permissible to use a pseudonym. Only the course instructor will be able to see you, and all attendees will be able to hear you.

All meetings will open and close with an instructor-led prayer.

People who do not demonstrate appropriate, respectful behavior will be muted and may be withdrawn from the course without a refund.

Participation in a course requires technology to access web-hosted meetings. Meeting platforms include Zoom, MS Teams, and Vimeo for live-streaming. Most people will be able to participate.

Learning

Learning about spiritual development is not enough to bring about spiritual growth. Spiritual growth depends on experiences that only God initiates. The courses help in becoming aware of how to interact with God and obtain correct nourishment in the spiritual realm, which is essential for growth in the inner person. Learning is experiential and requires many internal and mental process changes.

These courses are designed to introduce what one must do to change. They are intentionally short, and a person should implement and continue making the changes. They may proceed to deeper-level mentoring courses after developing a base within their spirit. There are periodic live-streaming courses where people can submit questions.

Enrolling in a Course

Courses are listed on the Current Available Courses page. Clicking the link allows you to add them to your shopping cart for subsequent checkout. Courses are offered at various times to reach a global audience. You will need to select a course and a time.

The beginning

Lititz, Pennsylvania was founded by Count Nicholas Ludwig Von Zinzendorf, a founder of the modern Moravian Church, in 1755 when he accepted a land grant from John and Anna Klein of 491 acres. Lititz was named after a castle in North Eastern Bohemia used successfully as a refuge where early Moravian followers of martyred John Hus successfully sheltered in 1456.

The place

Herrnhut in Saxony holds a prominent place in Protestant history, founded by Count Zinzendorf on his land in 1722 to allow religious refugees to settle. The community birthday in 1727 the 100-year prayer watch and the Holy Spirit descended in power with a revival marked by the palpable presence of the spirit over a prolonged time.

The call

In 2001 the Holy Spirit indicated we should purchase a house which was directly across East Main Street, Lititz from the Moravian Church. The Spirit indicated we would send embers all over the world from our work there. In this house we found a prayer portal, and it was here that God refined our understanding of how people are to master the process of being led by His Spirit. We wrote and published the first of several books in this house and held small fellowship and teaching groups around the table of fellowship. Several other books have followed and more recently the Spirit has been giving instruction in these books about the fuel for sustained revival, which will result in a rich and bountiful final harvest for the lord God.

The books are a result of the rich history of Herrnhut, Lititz, and the dispersion of Protestantism via Herrnhut to the New World; Wesley, among many, were instruments. Church leaders exhort people to love the Lord, to worship Him, and to place Him first. All is needful, commitment is essential. No one can change to this profound level without a process. Lititz Institute is the main vehicle for our teaching about the Biblical processes one must use to bring about the deep change needed to be used by God in His service. We are to be transformed by the renewing of our mind and the purification of our heart to be Holy unto the Lord. During this time of change we must learn how to take authority over evil spirits; this requires earning the authority from our relationship with God.

Course Fees

No person interested in the development and maturation of their spirit should refrain from enrollment. God will supply the needs any might have to enroll. If you cannot afford a fee, enroll by clicking the courtesy code to indicate that you will donate to LI later when God provides your ability to pay. If that is several years distant, that is fine. If you feel led to participate, then LI places no block. Others may donate extra for your expenses, consistent with 2 Corinthians 8:12-15 and 2 Corinthians 9:1-15. People should only pay for a course as they can without undue strain, and if able, should cover the expense for others. This is God’s instruction. LI takes God seriously and trusts that He will supply exactly what He wants for the LI ministry at any point in time. Course fees are $5.00 per week per person for six to eight weeks for up to 20 people enrolling. A six-week course will be $30.00, and an eight-week course will be $40.00.

Reading Material

Reading material is based on God’s Word. You will need a Bible that is a word-by-word translation, and not a thought-by-thought translation. The King James version, 1900, or similar, is recommended. The New King James version is acceptable. The New American Standard is also acceptable. The Bible used in the classes is the King James Version of 1900, included in the Logos Bible Study program. It is helpful to have a software package with a Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, which is included in the Logos program.

LI does not provide notes; your Bible is the notes. You should read How to be Led by the Spirit of God: Maturing in the Spirit since it consists of reorganized Bible scripture from the 1900 version of the King James Bible in Logos. The reorganization brings out the anatomy, physiology (how your spirit is integrated to work with the rest of you), and the psychology of your spirit person (how your mind works to live in both the spiritual and natural realms). You will be able to download the recording of your course from Vimeo for a limited time.

Guarantees and Warranties

There are no guarantees or warranties since your progress depends on your own development of a deeper relationship with God.

Cautions and Dangers

There are no dangers from people only. You are entering into a spiritual realm development program, and the devil and evil spirits will attack you directly and through the minds of people they have influenced. The answer to this is to pray against these spirits, ask other maturing Christians to pray for and with you, and the LI staff will be praying for your protection. If a person is experiencing deepening anxiety, depression, or thought pressures, they should immediately consult a physician. If there are any thoughts of suicide, a crisis center should be contacted immediately, one that is open 24/7/365. If an evil spirit-influenced person is harassing you, appropriate actions may include involving family, friends, and law enforcement.

No one should enroll in a course if they are experiencing any untreated or unstable anxiety, depression, or thought pressures and abnormalities. Such a person may need help, and a physician can provide that until they are deemed stable enough by their physician to enroll.

Some courses cover spiritual warfare and how to win, but that requires mature spiritual growth. No army sends infants into battle, and LI discusses how a person can know when they are ready to engage the enemy (2 Corinthians 10:23-6 and Ephesians 6).

Blessings and Advice

Be sure you are willing to commit to God after taking a free introductory session. God is not pleased by those who decide to put their hand to the plow of kingdom work (Luke 9:62) and then turn back. This is a serious commitment that you make to work with God in allowing Him to mature your inner person. LI helps, but it is you and God who bring it about. Time is needed to work with God, but He makes you more efficient and effective in your secular work. God is in the business of a complete remake from your foundations up. You will find that the spiritual realm is your primary residence, and you look for eternal development. You will come to see the emptiness of the world and the world system. The devil and his agents will attempt to intimidate you with all sorts of fears as you contemplate this step. That is to be expected; we have all been through that discomfort. God will bring you through that as you work with Him (2 Timothy 1:7).
